Holiday open house to feature international celebrations

Dinehart-Holt House
The Dinehart-Holt House was first home to Christopher Dinehart, founder of the State Bank of Slayton, who moved to the community in 1882.

SLAYTON — The Dinehart-Holt House will hold its annual holiday open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Nov. 10 at 2812 Linden Ave., Slayton.

The house will be decorated with trees and other holiday decor and will feature information about holiday traditions around the world, including international holiday treats, along with coffee and cider.

Rebby Lee will perform music on the house’s grand piano during the open house.

The event is free and open to the public, but freewill donations are welcome.

If anyone would like to view the house but is unable to attend the open house, they may contact the Murray County Museum during regular hours.
