Iowa rock ‘n roll auction is online Thursday night

Broadcast will be available through Facebook Live and the www.iowarocknroll.com website

ARNOLDS PARK, Iowa —The Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association will host an online auction and fundraiser scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday. The online broadcast will be available through Facebook Live and the www.iowarocknroll.com website.

“This online auction is a first for the Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association,” said Clay Norris, executive director of the Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association. “During these difficult times due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have asked our members and friends to donate items for auction to raise funds for us. We thank them so very much, and we look forward to the public bidding in support of our mission.”

The live portion of the auction will be hosted by Jeff Thee of Okoboji Broadcast with Jeff Thee and Norris. There will also be live music interludes by Rock a la Carte and more.

Headline items include guitars signed by The Beach Boys, Angus Young of AC/DC and Iowan Corey Taylor of Slipknot and Stone Sour, a Bedell 1964 Special Edition Orchestra guitar with a retail value of $3,000 and a “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” Beatles album signed by Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney framed along with a promotional poster and tickets. Similar displays singed by the Rolling Stones and KISS are also available for auction.
