NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Sealed bids will be received at the office of the City Clerk of the City of Worthington,
Minnesota, until 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 18, 2014, at which time they will be publicly opened
in the Council Chambers of City Hall 303 9th Street by a bid opening committee. The bids and
the responsibility of the bidders will be considered publicly by the Water and Light Commission
at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, July 21, 2014 in the Public Utilities Conference Room, 318 Ninth
Street.
2014 OXFORD STREET WATER RECONSTRUCTION
Approximate Major Quantities: 1,160 LF 8" to 12" water main, 2 Jacked Crossings (100' and
116' length), 3770 SF concrete walk removal, 3170 SF concrete walk, 605 LF Concrete Curb &
Gutter and 120 TON bituminous wearing course.
Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cash, money order or bid bond for at least
five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, made payable to the City of Worthington, which
amount shall be forfeited as liquidated damages if the bidder, upon the letting of the contract to
him, shall fail to enter into the contract so let.
Plans, specifications, proposal forms and contract documents as prepared by the City Engineer
may be seen at the City Engineer's office.

Contractors desiring a printed copy of the Proposal Forms, Plans and Specifications, may obtain
them from the office of the City Engineer, P. O. Box 279, Worthington, MN 56187. A non
refundable payment of $18.63, plus applicable sales tax, ($20.00 total) per set of plans and
specifications is required at the time of purchase.
The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive irregularities and informalities
therein and further reserves the right to award the contract to the best interests of the City.
All proposals must be addressed to City Clerk, City Hall, P. O. Box 279, 303 Ninth Street,
Worthington, MN 56187, and shall be endorsed thereon "BID FOR THE 2014 OXFORD
STREET WATER RECONSTRUCTION."
