PIPESTONE - The four-day Pipestone County Fair will return Aug. 1-4 and feature magic shows, truck and tractor pulls, book signings, grill-offs, live performances and even hot-air balloon flights.
Sherwin & The Cotton Kings will perform three shows under the tent from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, including a full tribute to Johnny Cash at 6 p.m. The FROGS Men Quartet will perform from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Friday, followed by the Larry Olsen Polka Band from 5 to 7 p.m.
Midwest magician Jesse Moffitt will have a magic show Wednesday at 4 p.m. under the tent and a hypnosis show Thursday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the arena.
A petting zoo with exotic animals will be on site Wednesday through Friday, and face painting will be available from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday and Friday in the open class exhibit building. Also on Thursday, a full-size hot-air balloon will provide rides, weather permitting.
The Rib Cook Off Contest will take place all day Saturday, followed by a public rib feed from 5 to 7 p.m., with proceeds benefiting the Pipestone County Ambulance Association.

Also on Saturday is an antique tractor parade at 5 p.m. and Ranch Rodeo show at 6 p.m. in the horse arena.
