Resolution No. 3383

ORDERING IMPROVEMENT AND PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS.

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 3379 of the City Council of the City of Worthington, adopted the 9th day of March, 2009, fixed a date for a Council hearing on the proposed improvement of the following described street by extension of the municipal wastewater collection system:

GRAND AVENUE from 200 feet north of Oxford Street to Cecilee Street extended westerly;

and

WHEREAS, ten days' mailed notice and two weeks' published notice of the hearing was given, and the hearing thereon was held on the 23rd day of March, 2009, at which all persons desiring to be heard were given an opportunity to be heard thereon.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WORTHINGTON, MINNESOTA:

1. Such improvement by extension of the municipal wastewater collection system is necessary, cost-effective, and feasible as detailed in the feasibility report.

2. Such proposed improvement by extension of the municipal wastewater collection system is hereby ordered as proposed in the council resolution adopted the 9th day of March, 2009.

3. The city engineer is hereby designated as the engineer for such improvement. The engineer shall prepare plans and specifications for the making of such improvement.

4. The City Council declares its official intent to reimburse itself for the cost of the improvement from the proceeds of the tax exempt bond.
