WINDOM — The Sons of Norway Stavanger Lodge 1-538 will host its next meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Cottonwood County Historical Society, 812 Fourth Ave., Windom.
Adrian “Andy” Lo has taught at Colby College, Keene State College, Erskine Academy,
Gustavus Adolphus College and Bethany Lutheran College. His love of the Hardanger fiddle
followed his fascination with the ”viola d’amore,” a string instrument with playing strings and
strings that resonated sympathetically. He is a member of the Elvesvingen Lodge in Mankato,

and is a former editor of its newsletter.
Lo’s presentation will include a history of the Hardanger fiddle; a show and tell of
the possible origin of the Hardanger fiddle; pictures of the Hardanger fiddle in detail; and a sampling of three hardingfele tunes. The public is invited to attend the free program; refreshments will also be served.
