The American Red Cross is urging healthy individuals to make an appointment to give blood or platelets this month. Appointments may be made by downloading the Red Cross Blood Donor App , visiting RedCrossBlood.org , calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or enabling the Blood Donor Skill on any Alexa Echo device.
The following are upcoming donation opportunities:
Mountain Lake: 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. Feb. 22, Community Center, 1027 Second Ave.
Slayton: 2 to 7 p.m. Feb. 16, Silverberg’s, 2630 Broadway Ave.
