The Nobles County Library, 407 12th St., Worthington, is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Fridays. The Adrian Branch Library, 214 Maine Ave., Adrian, is open from noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and noon to 5 p.m. Friday.

Upcoming events

The Nobles County Library Autumn Book Sale will be during regular library hours Nov. 2-6 on the main level of the Worthington library. There usually is a variety of adult fiction and non-fiction books, young adult books, paperbacks, children's books, audiobooks, CDs and DVDs.

Children’s Programming in Worthington

  • A Halloween Haunted House for grades K-5 is Oct. 15-16. Wear a Halloween costume and join the Worthington library for a movie, craft, games and a haunted house tour. Please pre-register for a party time.

  • Stop by the library or call 295-5340 to sign up for after school programs, as class size is limited. Programs include Just Gurlz for grades 5+, meeting after school until 4:45 p.m. Mondays; and Wii for grades 5-9, meeting two Mondays per month after school until 4:45 p.m.

  • Story Time for preschool and younger is from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesdays.

  • After-school programs for grades K-5 are offered Tuesdays or Thursdays until 4:45 p.m.

  • Please limit yourself to one visit per day and maintain a distance of six feet from non-family members when inside.

  • In Worthington, children under 16 must be accompanied by their parent or guardian between the hours of 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. (except during organized activities).

  • Hand sanitizer is available near the front door. Spot cleaning is done throughout the day and after hours.

  • Please bring exact change or the nearest dollar amount for copies, scans, faxes, etc.
