WORTHINGTON — The Nobles County Library, 407 12th St., Worthington, is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. The Adrian Branch Library, 214 Maine Ave., Adrian, is open from noon to 6 p.m. Monday-Thursday, noon to 5 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.

New Science Fiction/Fantasy Monthly Book Club: The Nobles County Library is starting a new monthly book club. Meetings are tentatively planned at 6 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month in the library. During the meeting, we'll discuss how each of our books connects to the theme of the month and what we liked/disliked about the book. Come connect and meet new people!   • Tuesday: After-School Program (Grades K-5) until 4:45 p.m.

  • Wednesday: Story Time (Toddlers, Preschoolers), 10 to 11 a.m.

  • Thursday: After-School Program (Grades K-5) until 4:45 p.m.

  • Oct. 4: No program.

  • Oct. 5: After-School Program (Grades K-5) until 4:45 p.m.

Students are responsible for their own ride to and from the library, and should be picked up by 5 p.m.

Special program

Oct. 28: Musical artist Dennis Warner will perform at 1 p.m. at the Adrian Senior Citizens Center, 120 N. Maine Ave., and at 4 p.m. at First Lutheran Church, Worthington.
