Fleetwood Mac tribute show at Memorial next Saturday
WORTHINGTON — A talented group of Minnesota musicians is scheduled to perform at Memorial Auditorium Performing Arts Center (MAPAC) at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 24.
“Rumours and Dreams: A Tribute to Fleetwood Mac” was originally planned for an April date here, but an unexpected blizzard forced Plan B.
Comprised of musicians from the popular Minnesota bands the Fabulous Armadillos and Collective Unconscious, this Fleetwood Mac tribute show has sold out at Chanhassen Dinner Theatre and at numerous other venues across the Midwest in the past few years.
Winona native Pamela McNeill, a singer/songwriter, produces the show.
McNeill voices Stevie Nicks, while the energetic Jeff Engholm channels Lindsey Buckingham. Minnesota legend Mary Jane Alm — an inductee to the Minnesota Music Hall of Fame in 2013, and to the Mid America Music Hall of Fame in 2017 — sings the parts originated by Christine McVie.
Expect to hear hits like “Rhiannon,” “You Make Lovin’ Fun,” “Say You Love Me,” and “Don’t Stop (Thinking About Tomorrow),” as well as numerous others.
