ARNOLDS PARK, Iowa - Iowa Lakeside Lab and TigerLion Arts are searching for a community chorus leader and community chorus members to participate in the walking play “Nature,” the outdoor telling of Emerson, Thoreau and their mutual love of the natural world.

Performances will take place at Lakeside Lab on Aug. 7, 8, 9, and 11. An abbreviated special appearance will also be at the Greenspace in Arnolds Park on Aug. 10 during the Okoboji Blue Water Festival.

The responsibilities of the Community Chorus Leader include scheduling and leading rehearsals, assigning vocal parts, facilitating learning of music and basic movement direction. This leadership role is an opportunity for someone with knowledge of music, basic piano skills, access to a computer and comfort in leading a group. Typically, this role involves a time commitment of approximately 15-20 hours in July/August.

The volunteer Community Chorus plays an integral role in the play, performing choral music and movement in specific sections of the piece and helping to guide the audience from scene to scene.

To sign up or for questions, contact Lisa Roti, Friends of Lakeside Lab Executive Director, at or call (712) 337-3669 ext. 1 by March 11. For more information on the “Nature” play, visit
