Worthington’s Parrish directing ‘Oliver!’

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — The Sioux Empire Community Theatre is presenting “Oliver!” through May 19. Performances will take place at the Sioux Falls Orpheum Theater, located at 315 N Phillips Ave., at 7 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

The show is being directed by Eric E. Parrish of Worthington, who also directed this season’s “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.” This marks the fifth production Parrish has directed at the Sioux Empire Community Theatre.

The final show of the theatre’s 16th season features a cast of 40, including Worthington resident Alex Scholtes. It also includes a live orchestra, and an elaborate set and costume design that will take patrons back to Charles Dickens’ 19th-century London.
