ST. LOUIS, MO — Missouri contractor Branco Enterprises, Inc. has been named one of three finalists in the running for the 2019 Construction Keystone Award for their work on Sibley, Iowa’s Outdoor Aquatic Center that opened in early June.
Branco is competing in the Associated General Contractors of Missouri Mid-American Class of projects less than $15 million. The contractor completed an extensive renovation of Sibley’s outdated pool into a 276,690-gallon pool and zero-depth splash pad. The updated pool boasts a lily pad walkway, floating log roll, rock climbing wall, diving stand, slide, water therapy seat, designated lap lanes, a volleyball net and basketball hoop.
According to a press release, the award is given to contractors who demonstrate innovation, resourcefulness and distinction. Branco was selected as a finalist by a panel of expert judges. Later this summer, finalists will provide additional data, which will be further reviewed to determine the winning project in each category.
Winners will be announced Nov. 4 during the AGC’s Construction Awards Gala at the River City Casino and Hotel in St. Louis, Missouri.
