JCC 36, Luverne 16

JACKSON -- Levi Lindley scored four touchdowns to lead Jackson County Central past Big South Conference rival Luverne in a high school football game Friday night, 36-16.

Lindley tallied his scores on runs of 5, 2, 13 and 40 yards and finished with 122 yards rushing on 17 attempts.

Luverne scored twice, both times in the first half, on a 56-yard TD pass from Casey Sehr to Gannon Ahrendt and a 3-yard pass to Connor Connell. The Cardinals led 16-14 at the half.

But JCC scored 22 unanswered points in the third quarter to take over.

The Huskies finished with 324 total yards of offense compared to 213 for Luverne. Sehr completed 12 of 23 aerials for 168 yards, with three interceptions.

ADRIAN -- Tracy-Milroy-Balaton scored in every quarter and kept the Adrian/Ellsworth Dragons scoreless.

The Panthers’ Noah Swenhaugen fired three touchdown passes to Christian Wendland covering 24, 65 and 4 yards, and he also tossed a score to Matt Munson which was good for 24 yards.

Julius Williams scored on a first quarter 14-yard run, Austin Lichty passed four yards to Swenhaugen for a score, and Alexander Schuh scored on a 2-yard run.

Breyer Hieronimus was 4-for-10 passing for 22 yards for A/E. Teammate Dawson Krahling rushed nine times for 66 yards and caught two passes for 14.

Carson Wolford had six tackles for the Dragons on defense.

MCC 42, Wabasso 16

WABASSO -- Carter Benda rushed for 155 yards and a score, and the Murray County Central Rebels accumulated 346 yards on the ground to churn out a big win over Wabasso.

The Rebels had 432 total yards compared to the Rabbits’ 131.

Abe Paulzine scored thrice for MCC on carries of 2, 22 and 1 yard and also threw a 24-yard TD pass. Christian Tentinger also scored on a 72-yard carry.

Paulzine completed three passes in six attempts for 86 yards, with two interceptions. Benda gained his 155 yards rushing on 16 carries and Tentinger finished with 142 yards rushing on 19 tries.

H-BC 51, Madelia 0

MADELIA -- The Hills-Beaver Creek Patriots advanced to 2-0 with a convincing win over Madelia.

Cole Baker rushed for three touchdowns covering 2, 12 and 17 yards, and he also caught a 45-yard scoring pass from quarterback Oliver Deelstra.

Justin Roelfs had a 52-yard TD run.

Deelstra completed 7 of 8 passes for 97 yards as H-BC rolled up 309 total yards of offense, including 212 on the ground. Madelia was held to 34 total yards.

Donovan Leenderts recovered two fumbles for the Pats while Baker had a quarterback sack and Ty Bundesen intercepted a pass.

Edgerton 22, CM/C 14

CEDAR MOUNTAIN -- Edgerton Public improved to 2-0 as Nolan Buckridge carried 29 times for 256 yards and scored three touchdowns against Cedar Mountain/Comfrey. He also threw for a 2-point conversion.

For the game, Edgerton rushed 49 times for 342 yards and held CM/C to 65 yards rushing and 158 passing.

Jared Fischer had eight tackles and two sacks for Edgerton and his brother Jacob also had two sacks.

H-LP 28, Kingsley-Pierson 8

LAKE PARK, Iowa -- Host Harris-Lake Park won its first game in three tries, downing Kingsley-Pierson by 20.

Tyce Gunderson passed 6 yards for a touchdown to Tate Gilmore, then 57 yards for a score to Lucas Ahrenstorff, and finally 42 yards to Caleb Hemphill. H-LP also scored on a safety and Colton Voss found the end zone on a 37-yard interception return.

Voss, Gunderson and Gavin Elser all had interceptions on defense. And Nick Sage had two sacks.

SHELDON, Iowa -- Sheldon shut out Sibley-Ocheyedan, scoring in every quarter.

Julius Wingate led S-O offensively with 11 pass completions in 23 attempts for 96 yards. He also rushed six times for 16.
