Amanda Jurrens and Joshua Duerr, both of Rushmore, announce their engagement.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Larren Jurrens, Windom. The groom-to-be is the son of Brian Duerr, Rochester, and Chong Cha Nakamura, Aiea, Hawaii.
Jurrens graduated from Windom Area High School and earned a bachelor of science in biology from South Dakota State University. She is employed by Newport Laboratories, Worthington.

Duerr graduated from Fulda High School and earned a bachelor of science degree in information technology management from the University of Minnesota Crookston. He is employed at New Dawn, Worthington.
The two plan a Sept. 1 wedding.
