CITY OF WORTHINGTON, MINNESOTA SUMMARY OF PROPOSED ORDINANCE NO. 1189 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND TITLE V OF THE CITY CODE OF WORTHINGTON, NOBLES COUNTY, MINNESOTA - CHAPTER 54 STORMWATER REGULATIONS THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE WORTHINGTON DO ORDAIN, that on October 24, 2022, the Worthington City Council passed the second reading of an ordinance to amend City Code Chapter 54 Storm Water Regulations. This amendment made some additions and changes to the existing City Code to comply with requirements from the State of Minnesota, these include: 1. Changes to bring City Code into compliance with changes to the MS4 permit; 2. Language changes to clarify which permits are required and when; 3. Minimum standards for storage and handling of salt and salt-containing materials; 4. Changes to requirements for review of stormwater management; 5. Changes to Code to clarify required inspections relating to stormwater management; 6. Changes to BMP requirements. Due to the lengthy nature of the Ordinance, this summary has been prepared for publication as authorized by state law. A printed complete copy of this ordinance is available for viewing in the City Clerk’s Office at City Hall, 303 Ninth Street, Worthington, MN 56187 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
