Nobles County Board Summary Minutes April 04, 2023 Regular Board Meeting The Nobles Board of Commissioners met for a Regular Board Meeting in the Board of Commissioners room at the Government Center. Commissioners Robert S. Demuth, Justin Ahlers, Bob Paplow, Gene Metz and Chris Dybevick attended. • Approved the agenda as presented. • Recognized Shari Dean, Public Health Nurse, as the March Excellence in Performance recipient. • Recognized Diane Vogt, Deputy Auditor-Treasurer/ Tax Records/Elections, on 15 years of service. • Approved the consent agenda, which included proceedings from the March 21, 2023 Regular Board Meeting, Travel Expenses paid March 24, 2023 and Commissioners Warrants totaling $1,767,973.16. • Adopted a resolution in support of SMOC acquiring two propane-fueled vehicles through a grant. • Tabled a vote until the April 18, 2023 meeting on the reconsideration of a tobacco license for Corky’s Corner. • Accepted a CDC Infrastructure grant for Public Health in the amount of $119,708. • Approved amendment #4 to the Children’s Mental Health Respite Care Grant Contract. • Approved Madsen Land Surveying to survey the former Kid’s Peace portion of the Prairie Justice Center. • Approved sponsoring the Des Moines River Watershed Partnership for membership into the Minnesota Counties Intergovernmental Trust (MCIT). • Approved increasing the subsurface sewage treatment system loan amount from $15,000 to $20,000. • Awarded a bridge replacement project to Structural Specialties, Inc. for the amount of $2,303,488.06. • Awarded a crack seal and seal coat project to Morris Sealcoat and Trucking, Inc. for the amount of $2,431,873.61. • Approved entering into an agreement with Enterprise Fleet Management Services. • Appointed Commissioner Dybevick as the delegate and Commissioner Demuth as the alternate to the Child Care Grant Review Committee. • No further business, the meeting adjourned at 10:50 a.m. The above represents a summary of the County Board actions on the listed date.
