Nobles County Board SUMMARY MINUTES April 18, 2023 Regular Board Meeting The Nobles Board of Commissioners met for a Regular Board Meeting in the Board of Commissioners room at the Government Center. Commissioners Robert S. Demuth, Justin Ahlers, Bob Paplow, Gene Metz and Chris Dybevick attended. • Approved the agenda as presented. • Recognized Colleen Houselog, Child Support Officer, on 35 years of service. • Recognized students from Worthington Christian School for attending Nobles County’s Government Day. • Approved the consent agenda, which included proceedings from the April 04, 2023 Regular Board Meeting, Travel Expenses paid April 07, 2023 and Commissioners Warrants totaling $299,039.03. • Approved 7 acres of DNR land acquisition within Nobles County. • Approved a 5 year tax abatement for Joseph and Angela Joswiak through the Nobles Home Initiative. • Approved a 5 year tax abatement for Nate Lynn through the Nobles Home Initiative. • Approved a tobacco license for Corky’s Corner. • Approved a tobacco license for Casey’s Retail Company. • Approved Koch Hazard to create a pre-design for the remodeling of the Nobles County Library for $8,500. • Approved to discontinue the contract with the Nobles County Jail and Immigration and Naturalization Services. • Updated a resolution to designate depositories and authorize the Auditor-Treasurer to make investments. • Adopted a resolution so all funds issued to local taxing districts are disbursed using Electronic Funds Transfer. • Approved the purchase of 51 new Poll Pads, transport cases and sleds for $21,802.50. • Approved a letter from the Nobles County Board be sent to the MPCA regarding the County’s Mixed Municipal Solid Waste disposal destination. • Approved a parade permit for Ellsworth “Family Fun Days”. • No further business, the meeting adjourned at 10:35 a.m. The above represents a summary of the County Board actions on the listed date.
