Nobles County Board Summary Minutes August 02, 2022 Regular Board Meeting The Nobles Board of Commissioners met for a Regular Board Meeting in the Board of Commissioners room at the Government Center. Commissioners Donald Linssen, Gene Metz, Bob Paplow, Justin Ahlers and Robert S. Demuth attended. • Approved agenda as presented. • Recognized Teresa Pomrenke, Public Health Nurse on her retirement and for 21 years of service. • Approved the consent agenda, which included proceedings from the July 19, 2022 Regular Board Meeting, Travel Expenses paid July 29, 2022, Commissioners Warrants totaling $771,127.76, JD Ditch #9 Bid Package #1 Pay Application #3, accepted a Ballot Drop Box Grant and approved a date change for a temporary on-sale liquor license. • Approved a 5-year home tax abatement for Marco Ramos. • Approved a 5-year home tax abatement for Tannar and Katie Heronimus. • Approved Personnel Policy P-214A Telecommuting Policy. • Approved promoting a Legal Secretary to a Legal Assistant in the Attorney’s office. • Approved a County Veterans Service Officer Operational Enhancement Grant. • Approve hiring a temporary staff member to a full time Help Desk position. • Acknowledged the 2021 Nobles County Highway Department Annual Report. • Declared a Public Works 2015 Dodge pickup as surplus property with the intention to tell it to Rock Nobles Community Corrections. • Approved a Decommission Bond from Fenton Power Partners I. • Approved a resolution allocating $1,000,000 of County surplus funds to select local units of Government. • No further business, the meeting adjourned at 10:25 a.m. The above represents a summary of the County Board actions on the listed date.
