The Nobles Board of Commissioners met for its Regular Meeting in the Board of Commissioners Room in the Nobles County Government Center. Commissioners Justin Ahlers, Gene Metz, Matt Widboom, Robert S. Demuth and Donald Linssen were in attendance.
•Recognized Laurie Ebbers, Circulation/Technical Services Coordinator, with the November Excellence in Performance award.
•Approved agenda as presented.
•Approved the consent agenda as presented, which included proceedings from the November 10, 2020 special meeting, November 17, 2020 regular board meeting, November 25, 2020 special board meeting, Meetings & Conferences – Travel Expenses and Auditor’s, Commissioners Warrants totaling $7,218,793.44, 2021-2022 Southwest MN Regional Minnesota Family Investment Program/Diversionary Work Program - Purchase of Service Contract Renewal, Hope Haven / The Achievement Center 2021-2022 Supported Employment Agreement, Specialized Vocational Services 2021-2022 Supported Employment Agreement, 2021 Southwestern Mental Health Center Community Support Services Agreement Renewal, 2021 Southwestern Mental Health Center Master Services Agreement Renewal, 2021 Family and Home Based Services Contract Renewal Southwestern Mental Health Center, Client Community Services – Semi Independent Living Services 2021-2022 Purchase of Service Agreement Renewal, Minnesota Department of Human Services Children’s Mental Health Respite Care Grant Contract - Amendment No., Greater Minnesota Family Services 2021 Family Based Service Contract Renewal, Authorize payment for December Rent Payment from Grant Fund and Affidavit of Lost Warrant
•Approved a contract to Duininck, Inc for a 2021 bituminous paving project in the amount of $3,291,058.80.
•Approved final payment to Loosbrock Digging Services for a 2019 intersection lighting project in the amount of $18,955.05.
•Approved final payment to Midwest Construction, LLC for bridge replacement in the amount of $24,641.59.
•Approved prioritizing bridge #53511 for state bond funding.
•Approved repairing 1,000 feet of failing tile on JD12.
•Approved a conditional use permit for Adam Aggen to construct a confinement swine barn.
•Approved a grant agreement with Community Services and MDH for COVID-19 vaccination in the amount of $22,193.00.
•Approved an agreement with Rinke Noonan for legal counsel to the Nobles County Drainage Authority.
•Approved an agreement with Clifton Larson Allen for an annual audit in the amount of $65,940.00.
•Approved a GASB-75 2020 actuarial service agreement.
•Approved a requisition for personnel for the sheriff’s department for a 1 full time female correctional officer.
•Approved a letter of intent to leave the MN Merit Personnel System.
•Approved setting the seasonal/temporary worker 2021 wage at $14.00/hour.
•Approved advertising for the replacement of the Nobles County Veterans Service Officer.
•Approved proceeding with a home foreclosure.
•Approved a resolution regarding pedestrian crossing concerns by the Worthington Middle School.
•No further business, the meeting adjourned at 4:12 p.m.
