The Nobles Board of Commissioners met for its Regular Meeting at the Worthington Event Center in the City of Worthington. Commissioners Justin Ahlers, Gene Metz, Matt Widboom, Robert S. Demuth and Donald Linssen were in attendance.
•Approved agenda with additions.
•Approved the consent agenda as presented, which included proceedings from the August 18, 2020 regular meeting, August 26, 2020 Special board meeting, Meetings & Conferences - Travel Expenses and Auditor's and Commissioners Warrants totaling $886,644.91, Affidavit of lost Warrant over $1,000.
•Heard a presentation from MNDot regarding upcoming roadway projects.
•Held a public hearing and approved a 5 year property tax abatement for Colt & Kaitlin Bullerman.
•Had a closed session for Union Negotiation Strategy.
•Approved a local option ½ cent sales tax to begin 1/1/2021.
•Approved the 2021 paving projects list presented by Public Works.
•Approved safety improvements to County State Aid Highway 10.
•Approved a detour agreement with MNDot for Trunk Highway 60.
•Approved a Conditional Use Permit for Paul Langseth.
•Approved Community Services to purchase a new vehicle.
•Approved a requisition for personnel for the Nobles County Jail.
•Approved a professional service agreement with the Recorders office and Hunter Heitkamp.
•Approved an extension of a leave of absence for a county employee.
•Approved a reappointment to the Kanaranzi-Little Rock Watershed Board of Managers to Jerry Brake.
•Approved a reappointment to the Okabena-Ocheda Watershed Board of Managers to Jeff Rogers.
•No further business, the meeting adjourned at 11:53 a.m.
