The Nobles Board of Commissioners met for its Regular Meeting at the Government Center in the City of Worthington. Commissioners Justin Ahlers, Gene Metz, Matt Widboom, Robert S. Demuth Jr. and Donald Linssen were in attendance.
•Approved agenda as presented.
•Amy Dykstra, Accountant, was in attendance and was presented with the August 2019 Excellence in Performance award.
•Approved consent agenda as presented including proceedings of the August 20, 2019 regular meeting, Meetings & Conferences - Travel Expenses, and Auditor's Warrents totaling $577,713.79.
•Held a public hearing and adopted Resolution 201952 approving tax abatement to LeWayne and Marsha Kopplow for parcel 12-0072-000 pursuant to Minnesota Statute 469-1813.
•Approved Resolution 201951 - Revised Trunk Highway 264 and County Road 62 Maintenance Agreement.
•Jerry Vyskocil, Finance Director, held discussion on the 2020 budget.
•Approved and adopted Resolution 201953 appointing Joseph M. Sanow as County Attorney effective October 1, 2019.
•Approved the authorization for Sue Luing, Human Resource Director, to open the donation window for the Catastrophic Medical Leave Sharing Bank if needed.
•Approved 6 Union Groups and 1 Non-Union Group of County employees to switch to Public Employees Insurance Program (PEIP) effective January 1, 2020.
•Approved Public Health Union Group to re-vote to decide if they will switch to PEIP or stay with current insurance company (SW/WC Coop).
•Appointed Adam Henning to a 3 year term expiring October 7, 2022 on the Kanaranzi-Little Rock Watershed Board of Managers.
•Appointed Commissioners Robert S. Demuth and Matt Widboom as delegates to the W.E.L.L. Project and the rest of the Commissioners as alternates.
•Approved a letter of support for the Ellis & Eastern rail line.
•Emerald Ash Bore - MN Department of Ag meeting. Farmers room, Government Center, Worthington, MN. Wednesday September 4, 2019.
•Nobles Economic Opportunity Network - NEON. Biotechnology Advancement Center, Worthington, MN. September 5, 2019.
•AMC Fall Policy Conference. Alexandria, MN. September 12-13, 2019.
