City band to end summer season Wednesday

"Amazing" Worthington City Band

WORTHINGTON — The “Amazing” Worthington City Band wraps up its 2019 season with a final concert at 7:30 p.m. today at Chautauqua Park.

Capping its 126th year, the band will perform the “Aces of the Air” march, Irving Berlin’s “Songs for America,” a “Good Old Days Sing-a-Long” and three pop tunes — “With a Little Help from My Friends,” “Rock Around the Clock” and “Sweet Caroline” — among other selections.
Emcee for the evening is Tara Thompson, with Anna Meyer providing intermission entertainment.

Mike Peterson will conduct the concert.
