Library News: Nov. 24-30

The Nobles County Library, 407 12th St., Worthington, is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.

Here’s what’s happening in children’s programming:

  • Story Time, 10 a.m. Wednesday.

  • After School Programs, 3:30 to 4:45 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays (Grades K-5).

  • Just Gurlz, Thursdays after school until 4:45 p.m. (Grades 5+).

  • Wii Program, Mondays after school until 4:45 p.m. (Grades 5-9).

Worthington library:

  • Many new books will be available soon!

  • The Nobles County Library will be closed Thursday and Friday for Thanksgiving. We will be open normal hours on Saturday.

Adrian Branch library:

  • Temporary hours until further notice are: 1 to 5 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (as staff is available and weather permitting).

  • The library will be closed Friday for Thanksgiving.

Friends of the Library

  • Book Club meets from 7-8 p.m. Monday. The book being discussed is “The Giver of Stars” by Jojo Moyes. All are welcome.

New Books: “Code of Honor” by Tom Clancy, “The Confession Club” by Elizabeth Berg, “Death is Hard Work” by Khaled Khalifa, “Guilty Not Guilty” by Felix Francis and “A Minute to Midnight” by David Baldacci.

New DVDs: “The Big Bang Theory” (the 12th and final season), “Poldark” (Season 5), and “Vikings” (Season 5, Volume 2)

FUN FACT: So far this year, from January through October, patrons using the Nobles County Library have saved $978,955.48.
