Both libraries will be closed Saturday and Monday in observance of Labor Day.
WORTHINGTON — The Nobles County Library, 407 12th St., Worthington, is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. The Adrian Branch Library, 214 Maine Ave., Adrian, is open from noon to 6 p.m. Monday-Thursday, noon to 5 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. The libraries will be closed Saturday and Monday in observance of Labor Day.
Minnesota State Park passes: Minnesota State Park passes are available for checkout from Wednesday through Tuesday for a weekend trip or vacation. You must be a Nobles County resident and Plum Creek Library card holder. The pass must be picked up in person by an adult. Reserve a Minnesota State Park Pass today at the Worthington or Adrian library.
Nobles County Library Computer Tutorials: The library will offer a guided tutorial for individuals to create their own gmail account to send and receive emails. Sessions are offered from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Sept. 1 and Sept. 15; or from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 8 and Sept. 22. Space is limited. Please call 295-5340 or stop by the library to reserve a spot.

AncestryLibrary is available for use inside the library. Research ancestors, census data, vital records, directories, photos and more.

Mark your calendars
Thursday: Pamela Nowak will speak at 6:30 p.m. at the Nobles County Library in Worthington about how women survived the U.S.-Dakota War. She will speak in-depth about her newest novel, “Never let Go, Survival of the Lake Shetek Women.” Free and open to the public.
Sept. 21: “Moving Words” presented at 6:30 p.m. Come and listen to a panel of Minnesota authors at the library in Worthington.
Oct. 28: Musical artist Dennis Warner will perform at 1 p.m. at the Adrian Senior Citizens Center, 120 N. Maine Ave., and at 4 p.m. at First Lutheran Church, Worthington.
