WORTHINGTON — The Nobles County Library, 407 12th St., Worthington, is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. The Adrian Branch Library, 214 Maine Ave., Adrian, is open from noon to 6 p.m. Monday-Thursday, noon to 5 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
Science Fiction/Fantasy Monthly Book Club: Meetings are at 6 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month in the library. We'll discuss how each of our books connects to the theme of the month and what we liked/disliked about the book. Call 507-295-5340 or e-mail nobleslib@co.nobles.mn.us to sign up.
Fall Book Sale: Nov. 1-6, during regular library hours in Worthington. A bag sale will be at the end of the week! Book sales are open to the public.
Screen-free Saturdays in Adrian: Every Saturday through May 21, excluding holiday weekends, for grades K-8. Visit the library for games from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Bring your favorite board game or play one available at the library.
Youth programming
Registration requested at the library or by calling 295-5340. Students are responsible for their own ride to and from the library, and should be picked up by 5 p.m.

Oct. 28: Musical artist Dennis Warner will perform at 1 p.m. at the Adrian Senior Citizens Center, 120 N. Maine Ave., and at 4 p.m. at First Lutheran Church, Worthington.
Nov. 18: Winter Skies Star Party with Mike Lynch and Paul Seifert, 5:30 to 8 p.m., Minnesota West Community & Technical College, 1450 College Way, Worthington. Meet in the northwest corner of the parking lot next to the observatory.
