Reading Community Theatre awarded funds

Globe News Brief jpg

MARSHALL — The Southwest Minnesota Arts Council recently awarded $13,166 to local organizations, among them being Reading Community Theatre.

The theatre was awarded $666 to upgrade its sound system. Previously, many pieces of equipment have been borrowed or rented. The theatre also had noted that much of its regular audience is senior citizens, adding extra incentive to have a high-quality sound system with additional equipment and updated microphones and speakers.

Funding will go toward a seismic audio low profile circuit board snake cable, hanging condenser microphones, two turbo sound passive speakers and a Behringer USB mixer.
