WORTHINGTON - “Stage and Screen - Flute and Piano,” featuring international virtuoso Gary Arbuthnot performing musical scores from movies, Broadway, opera and more, will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Auditorium Performing Arts Center, 714 13th St., Worthington.

 

Arbuthnot was born in Northern Ireland and studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London, McGill University in Montreal, and with Sir James Always and Emmanuel Pahud. He has worked as principal flautist with many philharmonic and symphony orchestras around the world.

 

The event is the Worthington Concert Association’s first of the season. Other Worthington concerts for this year will include The OK Factor (violin/cello duo), pianist and composer Charlie Albright, and 7th Ave. (mixed vocal quartet).
