Worthington Workcamp begins Sunday
WORTHINGTON — After two years of planning, fundraising and praying, the Worthington Workcamp has finally arrived. From Sunday through Saturday, over 350 teenagers and adults from many different Christian denominations from seven states will come together in Worthington to serve individuals and the community while building relationships with local residents and crew members.
Groups’ well-trained staff leads daily programs focused on Jesus. Plus, the youth will have the opportunity to lead parts of each worship program through music, drama and scripture reading.
The Workcamp will serve community residents from Worthington, Adrian, Wilmont, Lakefield, Windom, Luverne, Brewster, Round Lake, Dundee and Sibley with the love of Jesus. Through home repair, basic construction and painting, these teenagers will build relationships with their crews and the people they serve giving hope to people.
The community is welcome to join us for the evening program at 7:30 p.m. at the Worthington High School gymnasium. Please plan on sitting in the balcony. Come one night or all five evenings, Monday through Friday.
