Man faces criminal vehicular homicide charge

SLAYTON — A man has been charged by formal complaint with criminal vehicular homicide following a March 11 accident in Murray County.

According to a press release from the Murray County Sheriff’s Office, a 2000 Chevrolet Impala operated by Kyle Gregory Einck was westbound on 71st Street at approximately 2 a.m. March 11 and traveling with passenger Bobbi Sue Wright. Einck lost control of the vehicle at a curve in the road and entered the north ditch, and the vehicle rolled off an embankment into a drainage ditch.

Einck was able to free himself from the vehicle and call for help. Emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene, and Wright was freed and transported to Murray County Medical Center. She died there as a result of her injuries.

Einck was charged March 12 with criminal vehicular homicide, the press release said.
