The Nobles County Library, 407 12th St., Worthington, is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.

Here’s what’s happening in children’s programming:

  • Children’s Summer Reading Program, 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday for preschool and kindergarten students; 1 to 2 p.m. for first- through third-grade students.

  • Children’s Summer Reading program, 1 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday for fourth- and fifth-grade students.

  • Teen Summer Reading Program, 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday for students in grades 6-9.

Happening at the Worthington library:

  • 1:30 p.m. Tuesday: Ralph Covert (Ralph’s World), First Lutheran Church, 1200 Fourth Ave., all ages welcome.

  • 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday: Summer Reading Carnival, library green space, all ages welcome.

  • 5 to 8 p.m. Friday: Family Fun Night at the Nobles County Fair. All ages welcome.

Happening at the Adrian Branch library:

  • There will be a drawing throughout the month of August for two Baby Dragon Fingerlings.

  • Stop in and see the new books and movies.

  • The library has school supply lists available for parents and students.

Friends of the Library

  • The next book club meeting is at 7 p.m. Aug. 26 in the Nobles County Art Center (basement of library). The book being discussed is “Ordinary Grace,” by William Kent Kruger. All are welcome.
