The Minnesota Highway Safety Center will offer an eight-hour first time 55+ driver discount course from 5 to 9 p.m. Jan. 26 and 27 (course #47516).
The class will be offered via distance learning/Zoom. Individuals may register online at mnsafetycenter.org; courses are also available online at that website.
The class will save participants up to 10 percent on your auto insurance, as completion of an eight-hour course qualifies you for the discount. To maintain the discount, one must complete a four-hour refresher every three years. A Minnesota Highway Safety & Research Center certified instructor will update participants on defensive-driving tips, changes in laws, vehicle technology and traffic safety.
