FARGO, N.D. - A 65-year-old who admitted to having sex with a 14-year-old girl he met on the Internet was sentenced to five years in prison Monday.
Robert Francis Blasey, 65, of Zimmerman, Minn., pleaded guilty in January in Cass County District Court to luring a minor by computer and gross sexual imposition.
Ryan Younggren, an assistant Cass County state's attorney, argued for an eight-year prison stint, but said the five-year sentence wasn't disappointing given Blasey's cooperation with authorities and contrition.
Blasey, a traveling salesman, was arrested Dec. 2 in Bismarck. His victim was from West Fargo.
