NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that a public hearing will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, the 4th of November, 2008, in the County Board Room of the Nobles County Government Center, 315 10th Street, Worthington, MN, by the Nobles County Board of Commissioners.
The purpose of the hearing is to take comment on the proposed Nobles Local Water Management Plan, in accordance with Minn. Stat. §103B.315, and refer the plan to the Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources for approval. The Plan is intended to identify existing and potential water issues in the context of watershed units and groundwater systems, informing specific implementation actions to achieve goals for sound hydrological management of water and related resources. The Plan is also intended to serve as a longterm management plan for the Nobles Soil & Water Conservation District, Kanaranzi-Little Rock Watershed District, and Okabena-Ocheda Watershed District.

The full text of the proposed Plan is on file with the Office of the Nobles County Auditor-Treasurer, Nobles County Environmental Services Office, Nobles SWCD, KLRWD, and OOWD, and may be reviewed during regular business hours. Copies are also available for review at the Nobles County website http://www.co.nobles.mn.us/ . Written comments must be submitted to the Nobles SWCD, 1567 McMillan St, Ste 3, Worthington, MN 56187, by 12:00 p.m., November 3, 2008. Any interested persons may appear at the above time and place and be heard relative to this matter.
