‘Abrazos’ screening slated for Monday

WORTHINGTON - The film “Abrazos” will be shown at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the Fine Arts Theater at Minnesota West Community and Technical College, Worthington campus.
“Abrazos” documents the story of American-born children of Guatemalan heritage living in Worthington as they journey back to their parents’ homeland to visit their grandparents and other relatives. The Spanish word “Abrazos” translates to “embraces.”
The film’s director, Luis Argueta, will attend the screening and lead discussions about the film, and some of the children and their families will also be on hand.
A showing is also scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday at Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall.
