ALBERT LEA - An Iowa father and his 13-year old son and his 11-year old daughter were killed Wednesday in a three-vehicle accident in Freeborn County that also killed an Illinois woman.
According to the State Patrol, Bambi Khemphomma, 13, and Christi Khemphomma, 11, of Waterloo, Iowa were killed, along with their 46-year old father whose name has not yet been released.
They were killed after their 1996 Honda van was struck by a semi.
The accident happened about 2:30 p.m. when a 1996 Toyota driven by Gloria Anderson, 62, of St. Charles, Ill .was going east on Interstate 90 in a construction zone. The vehicle crossed over the center line and collided with a west-bound semi driven by Randy Pedersen, 56, of Swaledale, Iowa.
The semi then crossed into the east-bound lane and collided with the van.

Anderson was killed in the accident.
Pedersen was not injured.
The State Patrol is continuing to investigate.
