SANBORN, Iowa - For nearly two decades, residents and visitors of Sanborn have gathered to celebrate Railroad Days. In its 19th year, the three-day event offers something for the entire family.
The festival’s biannual fireworks display will return to Miller Park Friday night.
The schedule of events includes:
Friday
9 a.m.: Antique tractor ride
9 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Sanborn Preservation Flea Market
Noon to 6 p.m.: Free swim at Sanborn Aquatic Center
1 to 4 p.m.: Yesterday’s Memories Museum
4 to 5 p.m.: Carnegie Hall tours
5 to 7 p.m.: Supper in the Park at Miller Park shelter house
5:30 p.m.: Four-Person Best Ball Golf Tournament at Sanborn Golf and Country Club
7 p.m.: Circuit Riders at Sanborn Christian Reformed Church
Dusk: Fireworks at Miller Park
9 p.m. to close: Karaoke at Rails

6 to 10 a.m.: Mason’s Pancake Breakfast, Methodist Church Bake Sale at City Park Shelter House
8 a.m.: 5K Run/ One Mile Fun Run and Walk at Miller Park
9 a.m. to Noon: Sanborn Preservation Flea Market
10 a.m.: Golf Ball Roll at Prospect Street and West Fourth Street
