The Koch affair continues to raise concerns in the hallways of the Minnesota Legislature. It likely will become even more interesting before fading away if former Senate staffer Michael Brodkorb has anything to say about it.

Brodkorb is the former communications director for the Senate Republican Caucus. He was confirmed this week as the mystery man involved in an affair with Sen. Amy Koch, the former Senate Majority Leader.

A longtime Republican blogger and operative, Brodkorb was fired from his Senate position shortly have the Koch affair became public.

Brodkorb's attorney Thursday claimed Thursday that his client was discriminated against as he was fired while other women staffers involved in affairs with legislators were not. His attorneys say they will seek sworn deposition from romantically linked legislators and subordinate staffers.

If that happens, one would assume it could include any legislator, Republican or Democrat, that may have been involved in a relationship with any legislative staffer, man or women.

If Brodkorb follows through with his threat of a gender-discrimination lawsuit, the political and legal fallout could become significant across Minnesota's political landscape.
