Backpacks, school supplies to be distributed

WORTHINGTON - Backpack and school supplies for children who live in Nobles County and will be attending kindergarten through fourth grade will be given out Thursday at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 230 W. Clary St. The program is available from donations given by the people, service organizations and businesses of Nobles County.

 

Distribution on Thursday will begin at 9 a.m. and end at noon. Each child must register at the door and must be accompanied by an adult. Volunteers are preparing more than 600 packs to be given away. Distribution tables will be set up beginning at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.

 

Money donations are still being accepted. Checks should be made to Manna Food Pantry and earmarked for backpacks.
