WALKER, Minn.-A 21-year-old Bemidji man was found dead Sunday, Feb. 25, in a fish house on Leech Lake, authorities said.
The Cass County Sheriff's Office received a report at 8:52 a.m. of an unresponsive man in a fish house on Leech Lake. Deputies responded, and the man was taken to a hospital in Park Rapids, Minn., where he was pronounced dead.
His body was sent to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy, which is pending.
The sheriff's office did not release the man's identity or any more information about his death, including the location of the fish house.
Sunday was the last day of the International Eelpout Festival on Leech Lake, which routinely draws more than 10,000 people to Walker during a four-day period.
