Body found on train tracks north of Sibley

SIBLEY, Iowa - The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office received a call Monday about suspicious items on the railroad tracks about a half-mile north of Sibley. Upon further investigation, it was determined that a male individual had fallen from the train and was run over.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is still under investigation by the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation and Union Pacific Police.
Information on the individual’s name or age had not been released as of Monday evening.
