ADRIAN -- Adrian's nitrate plant is temporarily out of service, and parents and others are requested to provide children with an alternate source of drinking water.
While the plant is closed, the City of Adrian and Adrian Public Utilities will provide bottled/distilled water to all infants 6 months old or younger, as well as to mothers nursing these infants and pregnant women. Distribution will be through a voucher/certification procedure.
Anyone meeting the criteria should contact City Hall during business hours to complete a form or obtain a voucher.
