Brief: Bus tours offered to Wilder Museum

WALNUT GROVE -- The Plum Creek Library System has partnered with The Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum to provide a free day-long chartered bus tour to the Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum in Walnut Grove.

WALNUT GROVE -- The Plum Creek Library System has partnered with The Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum to provide a free day-long chartered bus tour to the Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum in Walnut Grove.

The day will include a tour of the nine-building museum complex, the Ingalls' dugout site, and a lunch-pail picnic complements of the museum and catered by Nellie's Cafe.

Six bus tours are planned in the region. The bus ride, museum admission and lunch are free, but registration is required and bus seating is limited. Stop at a PCLS member library or the bookmobile to sign up.

Registration for the July 13 trip from Edgerton, Chandler, Lake Wilson, Slayton and Westbrook is due June 29. The July 27 trip from Jackson, Lakefield, Heron Lake, Windom and Mountain Lake has a registration deadline of July 13. The July 30 trip from Luverne, Adrian, Worthington and Fulda has a registration deadline of July 16.
