WORTHINGTON -- All city, state and federal offices and agencies will be closed Friday in observance of Independence Day.
All Worthington financial institutions will be closed Friday. The banks will resume their regular hours on Saturday: Bank of the West, 8 a.m. to noon, Oxford Street location; Worthington Federal Savings Bank, closed; First State Bank Southwest, 8:30 a.m. to noon, drive-up and walk-up only; First National Bank of Brewster-Worthington, 8:30 a.m. to noon; United Prairie Bank, 8:30 a.m. to noon, drive-up; and Wells Fargo Bank, 8:30 a.m. to noon, drive-up and lobby.
Schaap Sanitation will not collect recyclables, which is the only route scheduled for Friday.
The Daily Globe will not publish Friday, and the business office will be closed. Publication will resume on Saturday, and the business office will reopen Monday.
