LUVERNE - The local Elks Lodge will be serving a meal of hot dogs, hamburgers, beans and salad Thursday to approximately 100 veterans and employees of the Luveme MN Veterans Home.
Loren Marsh, who serves as the Elks Veterans Service Officer, has organized the evening. Each year, members of the Elks Lodge collect books and magazines and buy a subscription to the Daily Globe, which Marsh takes to the Vets home on his monthly visits. During this last year, the Elks Lodge has purchased a gas grill and a cotton candy machine for the home.
