LUVERNE -- The Luverne Fire Department responded to a cornfield fire at 3:17 p.m. Friday in the 1400 block of 170th Avenue.
Fire Chief Tim Anderson said about a half-acre of harvested and standing corn was destroyed.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
