WORTHINGTON -- Storm sewer work on Lake Avenue at the Winifred Street intersection is scheduled to begin today.
Lake Avenue from Tower Street to Eighth Street will be closed to through traffic. A detour route of Lake Avenue utilizing Seventh Avenue, Ninth Street and Ninth Avenue will be signed. Winifred Street from Ninth Avenue to Lake Avenue will also be closed to through traffic.
Restricted local access on Lake Avenue and Winifred Street will be available up to the intersection.
Weather permitting and construction proceeding as planned, Lake Avenue through traffic should be restored in about a five to six days.
