SIBLEY, Iowa -- Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey will be the featured speaker at the Hawkeye Point Community Picnic, slated for Tuesday at Hawkeye Point, two miles north of the junction of Iowa 9 and Minnesota 60.
County residents are invited to attend and see the new Veteran's Memorial and some of the improvements made. Tours will also be available of the Osceola County ISU Extension Office.
There will be a hot dog meal at 6:30 p.m.; Northey will speak at 7 p.m.
Those who plan to attend are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket.
