Brief: Prairie to host Ethnic Celebration

WORTHINGTON -- Community members are invited to Prairie Elementary's Ethnic Celebration, involving fourth- and fifth-graders and Prairie's artist-in-residence, Soli Hughes.

WORTHINGTON -- Community members are invited to Prairie Elementary's Ethnic Celebration, involving fourth- and fifth-graders and Prairie's artist-in-residence, Soli Hughes.

The celebration will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Friday in the Prairie Elementary gymnasium.

The celebration features students' music from Hughes' residency program, "Africa to America."

Hughes is an international performer and educator, a guitarist who has played with B.B. King, Dizzie Gillespie, Stevie Wonder and the Jackson Five.
