WORTHINGTON -- A contested omnibus hearing for Mark Bernard Silvrants was continued in Nobles County District Court Tuesday.
A new date has not yet been set.
Silvrants, originally charged with two counts of criminal sexual conduct, is now charged with three counts of fourth-degree and one count of third-degree criminal sexual conduct after allegedly having sexual contact with a 16-year-old girl after he and his wife became her mentors.
Silvrants admitted to the sexual contact with the girl, but denied that any of the contact occurred during mentoring sessions. He also denied he used his mentoring relationship with the girl to have contact with her.
